ALF Southeast provides a wide variety of these services including information and referral, education programs, support groups, exciting fundraising events, and an array of volunteer opportunities.

Not all support groups are facilitated by a medical professional. Some support groups are facilitated by 3rd party organizations and individuals in this region.

The Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF) is unique in the national transplant community. Founded in August 1992 by Tommy Smith, a kidney transplant recipient, GTF is focused on providing both financial and educational assistance during a time that is often overwhelming for those undergoing or waiting for a transplant. Today, Georgia Transplant Foundation is the primary source for transplant patient assistance and support for all solid organ transplantation in the entire state of Georgia.

Atlanta

Alpha Therapy in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis C

If you have a diagnosis of Hepatitis C, you may be eligible to participate in this study.

You Must:

  • Be betweem 25-65 years of age.
  • Have a diagnosis of Hepatitis C.

If you are eligible to participate, you will have:

  • A brain scan (functional Magnetic resonance imaging- fMRI) of approximately 60 minutes to assess the effects of Interferon-alpha on brain function.
  • Assessments to measure your emotional and physical symptoms.

We will:

  • Provide these assessments free of charge.
  • Compensate you for your involvment.
