Planned Giving Options
Charitable Bequests
A charitable bequest is a gift of property or a sum of money given through your will. A charitable bequest gives you the pleasure of knowing that your generosity will continue to enhance the lives of others.
Life Insurance
Gifts of life insurance are an excellent way to support the American Liver Foundation. You may name the American Liver Foundation as the owner and beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, which is no longer needed for its intended purpose, or enter into a new insurance contract naming the American Liver Foundation as the owner and beneficiary . You may be able to take a federal tax deduction for the approximate cash value of the donated policy (as allowed by federal tax laws). The American Liver Foundation will immediately begin to receive the dividends from the policy and will ultimately receive the insurance proceeds as well.
