Chef Derek Intapura, Bites
Chef Derek Intapura has been working in restaurants since the age of 17. Being Thai-American and a native Chicagoan, he has a strong influence in Thai and mid-western flavors and he has continued to expand his culinary knowledge of Asian flavors to include Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisines. His passion for cooking has driven him to take on the challenge of educating and sharing his knowledge of Asian flavors with his fellow Chicagoans. With over 18 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Chef Derek creates some of the most flavorful and creative dishes at BITES as he continues to expand and perfect his technique.
Since April of 2015, he has held the title of Managing Partner/Executive Chef at BITES.
