Program Description
Dr. Kamran Qureshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and a Member of the American Liver Foundation, Mid-America Division, Medical Advisory Committee. In this presentation he reviews the epidemiology and the risk factors for Hepatocellular Carcinoma as well as the screening recommendation, and diagnostic modalities used in the clinical practice. The presentation concludes with a basic understanding of the staging of Hepatocellular Carcinoma which will be used in sessions 2 and 3 of this seminar series.
