Autoimmune Hepatitis
In 2005 I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and later with NAFLD. Was also told that I didn’t qualify for a liver transplant. I felt hopeless after talking to my liver specialist as I was walking towards my car I decided that the illness wasn’t going to own me. Did some research in my case and began to talk to my ex-colleagues at my former job. I was the head of the prenatal department.
I was prescribed prednisone medication and took it for 18 months, developing to many side effects and taking more prescriptions to counterattack the symptoms. During the last ten years I decided to get stem cells treatment out of the country, My Bio-MD doctor is amazing, I also eat healthy, stop any and all processed foods, practice meditation, yoga, go camping to heal, and enjoy life. My MELD is at 7 for the last two years. Unfortunately, I have other health issues but do not include diabetes, high cholesterol or heart problems which will make my disease more challenging.
I left my husband after 30 years of marriage. Starting from zero for the last three years has been a roller coaster but worth it and doing a lot better. I have always been positive so that helps me tremendously.
I am a warrior and will die from something else but not from this disease.
