Three Doctors Share Prestigious Prize in Medicine
This week, the Nobel Prize in Medicine is being awarded to the physician scientists who discovered the hepatitis C virus. We congratulate Drs. Harvey Alter, Michael Houghton and Charles Rice for their extraordinary achievement. Each of these accomplished researchers were recipients of the ALF Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award. Their work has contributed significantly to advanced testing, medication development, and the eventual cure for this deadly virus.
